The Lebanon Landfill and Recycling Center hosts two Hazardous Waste Collection events each year. These events are developed and sponsored by the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission and the State of New Hampshire, Department of Environmental Services, at four locations each year within the Planning Commission area.
These events are busy, not only with the number of users but with the amount of material brought to the event, which can result in long wait times. Local residents can help reduce wait times at these events by bringing the following items to the Lebanon Landfill whenever the facility is open.
The Lebanon Solid Waste Facility accepts a number of materials on a daily basis such as:
Likewise, unwanted medicines can be dropped off at the Lebanon Police Department Headquarters on Poverty Lane, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. No questions asked – just deposit them in the special container on your right, as soon as you walk in the main door. Hanover also provides the same level of service at their Police Headquarters.
Please do NOT dispose of syringes, needles, or sharps in these boxes!
There is a limited supply of labels available to put on these bottles. Just ask at the scale house.
